A superb set of plated lions in beautiful condition resting on an unusual beaded base. The lions are of particilarly well crafted quality with each holding a shield and facing outwards. They are connected by a round rod that held the knives and each have excellent makers marks of Mappin and Webb London & Sheffield circa late nineteenth century. Sizes at base are 3.75"(9cm) long x 1.75"(4cm) high
