These delightful French made, tin-glazed pottery, Knife Rests are made by HB Quimper (Faience).
They depict a Breton man and woman and are hand painted by Alfred Beau and display the Porquier Beau mark (PB).
This gives a date of late nineteenth-century. The Rests are in perfect condition measuring 3.25 inches long x 1.25 inches high.
The U.S. give pottery as an 8th wedding anniversary present but in the U.K. the modern theme is given at year 2 and the traditional theme for the 20th.
